Highly responsible sources told Daily Pakistan that Allama Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer has been ill for the last several weeks. He teaches Friday prayers at the Lawrence Road Mosque in Lahore, but has not been able to deliver the Friday sermon for two weeks due to illness. He has been treated by top doctors of Pakistan but he could not recover and now his condition is critical.
Family sources of Allama Ibtisam-ul-Ilahi Zaheer say that he has been severely attacked by magic due to which his condition is deteriorating day by day.
The attack is so severe that many scholars and practitioners have not yet been able to break the spell, which has raised concerns. It was not immediately clear who carried out the act. His family has appealed to the supporters of Allama Ibtisam, party workers and the people of Pakistan to pray for his recovery.
It may be recalled that Allama Ibtisam-ul-Ilahi Zaheer is the son of renowned religious scholar Allama Ihsan-ul-Ilahi Zaheer and one of the leading scholars of Pakistan. He is not only seen on various TV shows discussing religious issues but also uses social media platforms to create religious awareness among the people.
