  National Bank of Pakistan has informed its customers that their data and money are safe.

  According to a statement issued by the bank, the bank's system, customers' money and their capital are also safe.  The statement said that the National Bank has taken steps to deal with such harmless attacks.

  According to sources, customers of nine Pakistani banks have been affected by the international cyber attack.

  The hackers stole the data of customer cards of Habib Bank, Bank Islami, Faisal Bank, Bank Al Falah, JS Bank, Samba Bank, Sonari Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Bank of Punjab.

  According to SBP spokesperson Abid Qamar, cash has been withdrawn in many countries on the data of Pakistani consumers.  FIA Director Capt (retd) Shoaib also confirmed the cyber attack.

  According to the FIA, 6 2.6 million was withdrawn from accounts during the cyber attacks.  Authorities say only 100 complaints have been received so far, but no arrests have been made.
